How this is calculated. Cost per use = power (kW) × time (hours) × electricity price. We compare a typical air-fryer cook (default 1.5 kW for 25 min) against a conventional oven for the same meal (default 2.1 kW for 45 min, including preheat). Weekly and annual savings multiply the per-meal difference by how many meals you switch. Defaults use a UK electricity price of 27p/kWh — set your own from a recent bill. Air fryers also avoid heating a large oven cavity, so real savings can be higher for small portions. Estimates for comparison only.
